The role

The Business Intelligence team at Elder is a central piece of the business, responsible for our data strategy, overseeing data governance and providing data and timely insights company-wide. As part of our 2023 goals, the BI team’s focus is on driving more data and insights to support the business in its strategy to increase new customer growth and profitability.

For this role, we are looking for a driven analyst to join the BI team to support in delivering key initiatives on the BI roadmap, help with implementing new self-serve BI tools, provide insights and complete data related requests from the business.

This is an exciting opportunity that would suit someone who is early in their data and analytics career and keen to learn and implement in an exciting and fast paced environment where original thinking and versatility is always appreciated.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Interact with teams to evaluate data products and regularly report business performance
• Collaborating with the wider business to perform data analysis
• Synthesis data and feedback from users, clients, and management
• Contribute to setting, monitoring and measurement of short term goals, tests and experiments
• Develop and utilise dashboards effectively
• Develop, analyse, and modify processes, data structures, and models
• Make data-driven conclusions and recommendations
• Proactively analyse our data to look for opportunities
• Articulately and concisely explain the implications of complex data and outputs

Need to have

• Previous experience working in analytics or relevant field
• Solid computer skills, including databases and web-based applications
• Experience working with SQL for data analysis
• Experience with Tableau or equivalent data visualisation tool
• A keen eye for details and aptitude for working with data
• Highly accurate and thorough in all tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
• Proven experience as a collaborative team player
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Good communication both written and verbal

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or any other relevant programming languages
• Experience working with Google Analytics data
• Experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform or have a professional working knowledge of data warehousing architectures and a mainstream cloud-hosted product
