The Role:

We are looking to hire a commercial and pragmatic CRO who can help develop the business through this next stage. This is a key strategic SMF4 and SMF16 role within the bank and will report directly to the CEO / Board. Regarding technical risk knowledge, we need a CRO with strong Operational Risk, Credit Risk, and Prudential Risk experience.

This will be the 2nd CRO OakNorth has had since inception, and we are looking for someone who can act not only as a strong leader within Risk and Compliance but also as a strong commercial and business leader who can help to guide the business through our growth strategy and trajectory.

• Risk SME – Prudential, Credit, Operational, Compliance, Financial Crime
• The successful candidate will have a commercial/business partner mindset
• Approach to risk proportionate and judgment based
• Holistic/global/strategic big thinking approach who will strategically guide the function and build good and empowered people under them
• Managed large risk and compliance teams of 30+
• Can demonstrate that they can challenge effectively
