The Role

Reporting to the Head of Lending Growth, this role will play an instrumental role in the growth of Starling’s organic lending proposition. You would be involved in all aspects of the lending proposition covering target customers, customer engagement, growth activities, credit and pricing strategy, regulatory compliance, conduct, and product features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and delivery of Starling’s organic lending proposition growth strategy

• Play a key role in the development of automated lending strategy, working closely with Starling’s engineering teams to build lending decisioning and delivery capability
• Development of capability and processes to meet new regulatory requirements and support new product launches
• Maintain a detailed understanding of portfolio performance, working closely with the Data Science team
• Identifying activity and campaigns to support lending growth
• Support maintaining proactive portfolio compliance with the UK regulatory regime
• Build strong stakeholder relationships

Requirements

• Subject matter expert on regulations and lending standards applicable to lending in the UK
• Passionate about delivering improved lending propositions for customers
• Driven to achieve commercial success, we are ambitious and believe we can achieve significant lending targets
• Relevant experience in a product, risk, or credit function within an FCA-regulated company, across multiple lending products
• Proven track record in the design, creation, implementation, and enhancement of credit strategy across the lifecycle
• Highly adaptable and resilient, with excellent influencing, interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly numerate, with excellent analytical skills
• Highly organised, with the ability to deliver to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities within a dynamic environment
