The Role

We are looking for a Product Marketing Lead B2B to build a new function within our B2B Business Unit. As Product Marketing Lead B2B, you will be responsible for the messaging, packaging, and delivery of our products to market. In addition, you will build and lead the team of marketers and product marketers responsible for driving forward these initiatives and supercharging our Commercial teams. This role will also play a key role in shaping our product strategy working closely with our Product team and leading customer research.

Success for this role is that we are able to effectively position our products, features and services to differentiate our value proposition from the competition. This pivotal role will work closely with our Product Management team as well as our Commercial teams working on initiatives to improve all parts of the customer lifecycle.

We’re a remote-first firm and we sell in the UK, FR and NL so are open to candidates physically based in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, France and NEtherlands.

What you will be working on

• Building out your vision and plan for what product marketing excellence will look
• Researching and distilling insights from customers, developers, partners, and competitors feeding this back into the Product team
• Oversee the development of the global product marketing strategy
• Planning and implementing go-to-market plans
• Overseeing the execution of strategic campaigns

Become an expert and centralise understanding of our buying audience (customer segments & personas)

• Be the voice of the customer at Zego, facilitating a feedback loop between Commercial teams (Direct Sales, Broker Sales, Account Management), Product Teams and the Market to ensure we deliver a best in class experience for our customers
• Provide clarity to Sales and Marketing teams on why Zego is valuable to our buying audience
• Oversee the process for creating impactful product positioning and messaging
• Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial to produce impactful campaigns and content for the entire customer lifecycle
• Keep the company up-to-date with market trends and competition

Partner with Product to shape the product strategy and roadmap based on market and sales insights

• Define the packaging of our Product based on a deep understanding of Zego’s value proposition
• Become a conduit between the Product and Commercial teams to ensure shared understanding and strategic alignment in roadmap creation
• Oversee goals, strategy and execution for new product and feature launches
• Track, measure, and report against shared Product and Commercial objectives

Lead and manage our team of marketers to ensure the success of product adoption and channel efficiency

• Develop and implement the strategy for pricing (non-insurance products), messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of our products
• Use customer, partner and competitive research to influence product strategy and drive effective messaging
• Enable our Commercial teams to operate more efficiently
  • Train and support Commercial teams and channel partners to articulate Zego’s product positioning and advantages
  • Create sales tools and collateral including presentations, data sheets, case studies, demo videos, and white papers.
• Transform our customers into advocates and our strongest distribution channel
• Hire and training new team members

What you’ll need to be successful

• You have extensive Product Marketing experience and ideally a background in fintech/insurtech/SaaS
• You are curious and have a passion for understanding customer needs
• You are a natural strategist, holding strong ideas loosely and comfortable navigating shifting priorities
• You are an excellent communicator, confident articulating your ideas and perspectives individually and across the organisation
• You are analytical and able to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data
• You have an eye for great talent and are able to build/grow a team of superstars
