Privasee Rebrands as Vera, Expanding Beyond Privacy Compliance

After five transformative years, Privasee which is based in London, has rebranded as Vera, marking a bold new chapter in its mission to build trust at the core of business relationships. Privasee was founded to make privacy compliance easier and it succeeded. The team helped hundreds of companies simplify and sustain their GDPR efforts, earning the backing of leading investors along the way. In November 2024, they raised £1.1 million in funding from the likes of Pitchdrive, SFC Capital, and Plug and Play to accelerate their next chapter.

What Vera Does

Vera derived from the Latin word for “truth”  is an AI-powered platform that helps businesses manage the flood of trust-related documents that slow down deals and strain internal teams. These include RFPs, security questionnaires, due diligence requests, and more.

Vera automates the process of extracting questions from these documents and matching them with verified, pre-approved answers from a centralised internal knowledge base. This allows cross-functional teams from sales and legal to security and compliance to respond more quickly, more accurately, and without duplication.

The Reason Behind the Rebrand

Despite continued growth, the Privasee team recognised that businesses today need more than certification – they need tools that help them earn and maintain trust at scale. Customers were constantly fielding repetitive requests from prospective clients, auditors, and procurement teams. Privacy was just the beginning. Privasee is now Vera – a new name, a new platform, and a much larger mission.

Honouring the Past, Building the Future

While the name has changed, Vera’s founding principles remain firmly in place. The company continues to be driven by the same team that brought Privasee to life, carrying forward its passion for simplifying complex systems and amplifying human potential through smart automation.
